We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our products and operations, with a particular focus on sustainable packaging, water stewardship, sugar reduction and energy and climate protection. We are set to accelerate the decarbonisation of our business by reducing absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our entire value chain - including scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions - by 30% by 2030 and have a science based target to reach net zero by 2040, in alignment with a 1.5˚C pathway as recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Paris Climate Agreement. We also continue to make progress in reducing the amount of sugar across our portfolio. Since 2015, through reformulation, CCEP has reduced the amount of average sugar per litre in its portfolio in GB by 24.5% and introduced low and zero versions of nearly all of our brands.
